Privacy without fine-print theater.

The invoice assistant is deliberately built so KindlyDue does not need your invoice data.

What stays in your browser

Information entered in the invoice assistant—names, email, invoice number, amount, dates, payment link, and context—is processed in your browser. The current draft is saved in browser local storage so it can survive a refresh. It is not sent to a KindlyDue application server.

What leaves your browser

If you choose “Open email,” your browser passes the recipient, subject, and message to your chosen email application. That provider’s terms and privacy practices then apply. Downloaded text and calendar files are created on your device.

Accounts

If you create an account, KindlyDue stores your email address, a one-way password hash, email verification status, login-protection state, and purchase entitlement in a dedicated Cloudflare D1 database. Signed secure cookies keep the account session active. Cloudflare Email Service sends verification and password-reset links. The purchase record contains your account identifier, product, payment status, purchase date, amount, currency, and Stripe transaction identifiers. Invoice details are never added to the account.

Payments

Checkout is hosted by Stripe. Stripe receives the account email and the payment and billing information you provide. KindlyDue does not receive or store your full card number. A signed Stripe notification confirms the purchase before the account receives access.

Cookies and analytics

Essential secure cookies keep signed-in users authenticated. This repository ships with no behavioral analytics or advertising pixels. If analytics are added later, this notice and the interface must be updated before they are enabled.

How to delete a draft

Use “Clear” in the workspace or clear this site’s storage in your browser settings. Clearing or resetting a browser may also remove the draft.

Retention and account deletion

Account and purchase records are kept while the account remains open so the purchase can be honored. To request deletion, emailhello@kindlydue.com from the account email address. The operator may ask for additional proof of account ownership before deletion. Authentication data and online access are then removed, while the minimum transaction records needed for tax, fraud, chargeback, or other legal obligations may be retained. Deleting an account removes online re-download access; previously downloaded files remain yours to use.
